Quality Consulting Group Utilities Technician in Juncos, Puerto Rico

Responsibilities:

  • Operate assigned equipment, facility, utility, and HVAC Systems in accordance with established guidelines and operating procedures.

  • Conduct basic troubleshooting and employ basic predictive technologies to identify root cause and appropriate corrective actions for equipment problems or to diagnose equipment problems.

  • Execute intermediate maintenance activities, or operates and monitors plant support equipment, referring complex issues or problems to more experienced personnel.

  • Assist the team with maintaining an up-to-date working spare parts inventory system for the equipment/systems the team is responsible for.

  •  Ensure that operational log paperwork, daily log files, and work order documentation is completed with accurate information.

  • Perform intermediate to advanced installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, testing, and documentation/logs of a wide variety of office utility and facility equipment used in manufacturing, utility plants, analytical labs, and office areas.

  • All work must be completed in a safe timely manner according to planning and predefined schedules with minimal impact to production while complying with GMP, SOP, CFR and client regulations.

  • Reviews and technically approves maintenance reports, forms, and records.

  • Develops, revises, and reviews equipment, maintenance or other related procedures. 

  • Will participate in On-Call rotations for after-hours facility and manufacturing support and may work outside of established shift hours upon short notice.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Industrial Mechanics or related field.

  • 2 years of industrial mechanic experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry 

  • ITT diaphragm valve replacement

  • Centrifugal and positive displacement pump maintenance

  • AHU maintenance

  • LOCK OUT/TAG OUT experience

  • GMP Documentation

  • Maximo Software experience

  • Sanitary Connection and Diaphragm valves experience

  • Route Cause Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance and Troubleshooting experience with miscellaneous production equipment (Tanks, pumps, Chrom/UF Skids, Columns, CIP, COP, Autoclaves, Glass Washers, Lyophilizers, Ovens, Tunnel Washers, Bedding Dispensers, Cage Washers, etc).

  • Central Utility Plant Operational, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting knowledge of miscellaneous equipment (WFI Still, Clean Steam Generator, Purified Production Units, Water Distribution Systems, Water Softeners, Chillers, Boilers, Cooling Towers, Neutralization Systems, Emergency Power Systems, and UPS.

  • Availability to work 12hr shift.
