Kenvue is recruiting for a Staff Engineer, Full Stack Cloud Native, to be part of a forward-looking, innovative, and outcome-minded team of software professionals that build platforms and applications for our consumer health business, enabling the future of healthcare in the digital world. The position is based in Skillman, NJ, with occasional travel to global capability center locations.

As an engineer in the Technology & Data organization, reporting to the Software Engineering Lead, this global role will be responsible for experimenting, building, testing, and releasing products that fuel our business at its core. This role lives at the center of the product-centric model and delivery of digital ecosystems and will provide expertise to implement software engineering standards, policies, and solutions in a multi-cloud, modern event-driven architecture. This role blends a hands-on, engineering passion that craves novel approaches to solving problems, and a strategic perspective that collaborates with external partners, global leaders and executives across the business and technology organization to passionately understand our needs and drive the delivery of products and platforms that create exceptional experiences.

This global role will work at the intersection of business vision & strategy, design, and technical execution to deploy, manage, and support a portfolio of products & platforms that fuel the core of the business across areas including Commercial, Sales, R&D, Supply Chain, Corporate (e.g. Finance, HR, Legal, etc.).

What is expected of you

  • Take a lead role in software development, design, architecture, requirements analysis

  • Leverage and provide input into tooling and platform standards

  • Follow and maximize the use of standard software. Languages and data products

  • Lead, in collaboration with our partners, implementations of the Reference Architectures and Business Strategies.

  • Ability to function as part of a team and be a collaborator in the team.

  • Have a keen interest in the Consumer Health landscape.

  • Serve as a technical specialist to the enterprise, lending your technical acumen to steer, influence and provide guidance to business partners.

Qualifications

Education and Certification:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in C omputer Science

  • Minimum of 8 years of broad IT experience in web and internet technologies is required, preferably in a large global organization

  • Extensive experience with digital technologies and database systems

  • Experience with API design and development

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills

  • Results driven and a self starter attitude

  • Experience with CI/CD development pipelines

  • Solid understanding of micro-service/micro-frontend design (12 Factor) leveraging Javascript /Typescript/Python

  • Solid understanding of Azure and container-based deployment on that platform

  • Solid understanding of AWS and container-based deployment on that platform

  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes including setup, security and monitoring

  • Strong understanding of Development of secure code

  • Strong skills in leveraging Kafka for real-time event streaming

Preferred:

  • Certification in Agile methodologies

  • Strong experience with object-oriented development
