Robert Half Collections Supervisor in Keene, New Hampshire

Description

The chosen candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of debt collection. This includes addressing non-payment or short payments, monitoring high-risk accounts to prevent financial hazards, and providing regular reporting to the senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the research and resolution for issues related to non or short payment as per the organizational guidelines.

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for the leadership team, along with any ad-hoc reports as needed.

  • Proactively monitor high-risk accounts, escalating any potential financial risk to senior leadership.

  • Spearhead the process of reviewing, appraising, and analyzing account activity and payment history.

  • Supervise the preparation of financial plans aimed at reducing delinquency, in collaboration with sales and contract compliance teams.

  • Collaborate with clients and the sales team to proactively identify and address collection risks, and develop action plans for issue resolution.

  • Ensure compliance with credit-hold restrictions by the collections team to minimize bad debt exposure.

  • Act as the arbitrator for uncollectible delinquent accounts, ensuring all resolution attempts have been made before assigning bad credit status.

  • Oversee the recruitment, development, and management of a team of employees, including setting annual goals and conducting performance assessments.

  • Provide necessary documentation or reports required for external audits.

  • Propose improvements to collections processes and procedures to reduce delinquency to the leadership.

  • Guarantee all collections procedures and instructions are well documented and consistently adhered to.

    Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance.

  • At least 2-5 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong understanding of key accounting principles.

  • Prior experience in a leadership role would be considered as an advantage.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.

  • Previous experience with Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud, or SAP will be seen as an advantage.

  • The ideal candidate will display great adaptability skills, as the company is currently undergoing a system conversion from Oracle EBS to Oracle Cloud.

  • Applicants should have the capacity to work independently as well as in a team, showcasing effective communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure, prioritizing multiple tasks to meet deadlines, are crucial.
