The role you’ll contribute:

Environmental Service Supervisor oversees the front-line representatives of the Environmental Services Department. They, along with those they supervise, see every area of the facility daily and are responsible to keep all areas of the facility clean and neat. They interact with patients daily and have the opportunity to provide support and well wishes to our guest. Often patient satisfaction is measured on how pleasant the housekeeper was while cleaning their room. The supervisor’s role is essential in instilling a desire within our staff members satisfy our patients needs as well as maintain a clean environment.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Reviews the Policy & Procedures as related to the Environmental Services Department.

· Responsible for the application of Environmental Services guidelines and standards in accordance with current practices.

· Performs a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways, clinical areas and other assigned areas of the Hospital.

· Ensures that the assigned areas are kept clean, safe, sanitary and disinfected.

· Keeps work areas and equipment neat and clean.

· Has knowledge of and understands current JCAHO Standards for the Environmental Services Department.

· Promotes teamwork within the Environmental Services Department and all other health care workers throughout the Hospital.

· Assists in departmental, hospital and community in-services/education when assigned.

· Actively participates in Performance Improvement.

· Actively participates in assigned meetings.

· Upholds professional standards of performance and conduct.

· Excellent customer service skills.

· Assist the Supervisor and Coordinator when required.

· Maintain good rapport and working relationship with all staff members.

· Ensures that all assignments are completed within established guidelines and standards.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed : High School Education or Equivalent preferredSix months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
