Lions Industries for the Blind, Inc Receptionist/Accounting Assistant in Kinston, North Carolina
The Receptionist/Accounting Assistant is responsible for select areas relating to accounting and receptionist duties. This position requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal. The Receptionist/Accounting Assistant will have contact with senior-level management. The Receptionist/Accounting Assistant is hired by the Executive Director and is directly accountable to the Director of Accounting/Personnel.
Receptionist/Accounting Assistant shall:
- First and foremost be the voice and face of Lions Industries for the Blind, Inc. Upon entering the lobby or when calling, guests and customers will be greeted in a professional and friendly manner.
- Assist in answering questions that guests and customers may have and direct them to the proper staff member for additional assistance.
- File accounts payable and accounts receivable and maintain vendor and customer files.
- Perform areas of Accounts Receivable to include sales orders and invoicing.
- Documentation for vendor receiving from POs and key into accounting system.
- The marginal functions of this position have not been included. The job description in no way implies that these are the only duties that will be performed. The Receptionist/Accounting Assistant will be required to follow any other job-related duties required by Director of Accounting/Personnel and/or the Executive Director or any other LIB Directors.
Education/Experience
- Minimum two-year accounting degree from accredited community college and at least one years experience in accounting functions listed above; or
- 5 years experience in accounting functions listed above.
