Lions Industries for the Blind, Inc Receptionist/Accounting Assistant in Kinston, North Carolina

The Receptionist/Accounting Assistant is responsible for select areas relating to accounting and receptionist duties. This position requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal. The Receptionist/Accounting Assistant will have contact with senior-level management. The Receptionist/Accounting Assistant is hired by the Executive Director and is directly accountable to the Director of Accounting/Personnel.

Receptionist/Accounting Assistant shall:

  1. First and foremost be the voice and face of Lions Industries for the Blind, Inc. Upon entering the lobby or when calling, guests and customers will be greeted in a professional and friendly manner.
  2. Assist in answering questions that guests and customers may have and direct them to the proper staff member for additional assistance.
  3. File accounts payable and accounts receivable and maintain vendor and customer files.
  4. Perform areas of Accounts Receivable to include sales orders and invoicing.
  5. Documentation for vendor receiving from POs and key into accounting system.
  6. The marginal functions of this position have not been included. The job description in no way implies that these are the only duties that will be performed. The Receptionist/Accounting Assistant will be required to follow any other job-related duties required by Director of Accounting/Personnel and/or the Executive Director or any other LIB Directors.

Education/Experience

  1. Minimum two-year accounting degree from accredited community college and at least one years experience in accounting functions listed above; or
  2. 5 years experience in accounting functions listed above.
