As a Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in providing support, education, and advocacy to individuals accessing our mental health services. Key Responsibilities:

  • Premises Monitoring: Monitor premises to ensure safety and sanitation standards are maintained, creating a secure and hygienic environment for clients and staff.

  • Behavioral Consistency: Uphold behavior consistent with agency expectations and program philosophy, setting a positive example for all stakeholders.

  • Program Adherence: Ensure adherence to program expectations and curfews, reporting behaviors to the CPRC team as necessary, promoting accountability and compliance.

  • Education Facilitation: Facilitate PSR education sessions under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor and/or PSR Supervisor, fostering growth and development among clients.

  • Orientation and Referral: Conduct orientation, education, and referral processes; maintain accurate records, ensuring seamless integration and access to services.

  • Activity Coordination: Plan, organize, and lead groups, outings, or activities to meet program objectives, promoting engagement and skill-building among clients.

  • Advocacy and Support: Serve as an advocate for clients in implementing treatment plans, as directed by CPRC Clinical Supervision and/or PSR Supervisor, ensuring their needs are met and voices heard.

  • Team Collaboration: Attend scheduled staff meetings and participate in team planning, contributing insights and ideas to enhance program effectiveness.

  • Role Modeling: Serve as a positive role model for clients, embodying resilience, empathy, and perseverance.

  • Transportation Assistance: Operate vehicles for client transportation and business needs, ensuring safe and reliable transport.

  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Perform other duties as assigned by Clinical Supervisor, Program Director, or Executive Team member, demonstrating flexibility and initiative to meet evolving needs.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, or related field from an accredited college or university; or

  • High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years of responsible employment history

Required License/Certification:

  • Valid Driver’s License in the state of residency with an acceptable driving record

  • First Aid certification within three (3) months of beginning employment and upon renewal date

  • CPR certification within three (3) months of beginning employment and upon renewal date

  • Completion of Behavioral Management training within thirty (30) days of employment or first available class after start date

Additional Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of case management and rehabilitation methods in mental health services

  • Familiarity with community resources available for individuals with mental illness

  • Strong communication skills for clear and effective reporting

  • Ability to develop, coordinate, and evaluate services within assigned program responsibilities
