A.T. Still University ATSU - Student Life Coordinator in Kirksville, Missouri

Description

A.T. Still University (ATSU) is seeking applicants for the non-exempt Student Life Coordinator position on the Kirksville, MO campus. The purpose of the position is to support the academic, social, and personal development of students through campus-based events and student leadership development opportunities. The position will coordinate and support student events for all campus locations in Arizona, Missouri and California. The position helps to support and promote student involvement outside of the classroom to enhance students’ wellness and the overall experience as a student at ATSU.

Major Job Duties

  • Provide support to registered student organizations using Engage, ATSU’s co-curricular management software system.

  • Support includes the review of registration documents and event request submissions, as well as training student leaders on how to use the tools and functions of Engage.

  • Provide support to student leaders and student organizations, as needed, with an understanding of University policy, risk management, and best practices for ATSU registered student organizations.

  • Provide purchasing support by working as a liaison between the Finance and Purchasing offices for the successful routing of contracts, purchase orders, check requests, and travel forms.

  • Coordinate digital and print communication for the Office of Student Life, including but not limited to: email, Writings on the Stall, content within the Engage co-curricular management system, digital screens, bulletin boards, content within ATSU's Student Housing Marketplace, etc.

  • Manage and facilitate the usage of Student Life facilities and spaces including but not limited to: storage areas, study areas, Centennial Commons, Mother’s Nursing Suite, Military and Veteran’s Room, and the Meditation and Reflection Room.

  • Assists in the management of sponsored student organization funds.

  • Manage content and develop push notification messaging through the ATSU GO mobile application.

  • Collaborate with other university partners to provide events and activities that support student wellness.

  • Provide support in managing applications, contracts, handbooks, etc. for the on-campus Student Housing apartments located on the Kirksville, MO campus.

  • Support the planning and execution of campus-wide events including but not limited to: new student orientation, white coat ceremonies, commencement ceremonies, awards banquets, student leadership programs, and ATSU’s annual Founder’s Day for all campus locations.

Work Location

  • Telecommute for a portion of the work week would allow the employee to have designated time to focus on reviewing/processing student organization purchase requests, event requests, and plan for future events.

Education/Experience

  • 4-year degree.

  • Event planning.

  • Leadership development.

  • Student mental health and wellness.

  • 1-2 years experience.

  • Experience in higher education preferred.

  • Event planning and coordination.

  • Budget management.

  • Leadership experience with groups & students.

Compensation

  • Range $18-$22.50/hr. Compensation is based upon education and experience.
