Core Responsibilities

In this role, you will independently manage Automation & Digitalisation (A&D) projects portfolio, track and coordinate projects progress across our manufacturing sites globally. You will create and maintain well-organized portfolio overview for high level partners, including reporting.

Besides that, you will also:

  • Develop presentation materials tailored for senior management, highlighting key insights and strategic recommendations

  • Lead partner coordination and relationship management with production sites to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment on goals

  • Automate and simplify reporting tools for A&D department to drive the effectivity of the team

  • Provide hands-on training for team members to effectively use digital reporting tools

  • Introduce new ideas to enhance the visualization of department results, making insights clearer and more accessible

  • In the future stepping into the role of Digital Champion within the R&D group, working alongside the team to contribute to the digitization roadmap and fostering a culture of collective learning to acquire new skills and capabilities together

Preferably this is a full-time opportunity, however, we are open to part-time candidates as well (80% as a minimum).

Our Research & Development, Packing and Packaging organization (R&D P&P) is located in Billund, DK and Kladno, CZ and consists of bunch of enthusiasts with innovative approach who assure our LEGO products are assembled and packed into newly developed sustainable packaging in the most efficient way. Our team has a global responsibility for all packing equipment, and we lead projects with partners across all LEGO production sites.

Automation and Digitalization (A&D) stream within R&D P&P drives affordable investment projects aiming at efficiency improvements within Packing operations through development and deployment of both new innovative technologies (automation through machinery advancement) and installation of digital tools enabling further insights into Pack operations, simplifying operators', maintenance staff's and other relevant teams lives (Digitalization).

Do you have what it takes?

  • Proven project management experience, preferably in global environment due to daily communication in foreign language, dealing with diverse cultures, working across time zones

  • Interest in modern technologies and innovative consumer trends

  • MS Office 365 at advanced user level

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a strong ability to manage relationships and connect with individuals on a global scale

  • Systematic work approach, strong analytical attitude, and excellent coordination skills

  • Willingness to travel up to 40 days / year

An advantage would be:

  • Past experiences in technical development projects or technical background about machines / equipment

  • Skills in advanced visual and reporting tools (Power Bi, …)

  • Passion for digitization in the Manufacturing environment

  • Czech language is a big advantage
