Senior Analyst, EDI

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location: Hybrid at Kohler, WI

Opportunity

The Senior Analyst – EDI is responsible for the support of electronic communications between Kohler and our customers using EDI. This associate will be responsible for managing the business side of the EDI functions between Kohler Co. and the customer, driving increased usage, and identifying improvements within the EDI functions to reduce overall workload in the B2B Customer Service organization. Coordination between the Kohler IT EDI Team, B2B Customer Service Team, and the customer’s EDI Team will be a key driver regarding success in this position.

Specific Responsibilities

Problem Solving and Resolution

  • Use problem solving techniques to analyze issues, identify root cause and identify solutions.

  • Investigate alleged data issues, analyze the data, and provide feedback of the results.

  • Identify alternative solutions and recommend a solution based on analysis of the costs and benefits.Create IT Project System Requests or ServiceNow incidents or change requests as needed.

  • Investigate questions from customers.Ensure questions are answered and answers are communicated in a timely fashion.

  • Retrieve, analyze and interpret raw data as needed to work with customers and resolve issues.

  • Work with Customer Service to research and analyze EDI purchase order discrepancies relative to both stock and quotation order issues.Communicate results and create IT Project System Requests or ServiceNow incidents or change requests as needed.

Communication

  • Maintain relationships with customers both internally and externally based on trust and respect.

  • Seek and respond to feedback on how his/her actions affect customers.

  • Proactively inform customers of any difficulty in meeting commitments or deadlines.

  • Create/maintain documentation for all trading partners.

  • Create/maintain process and training documentation.

  • Post all documentation on the Quick Reference Guide (QRG) for ease of access.

  • Analyze requests from customers to implement or expand EDI transactions.Define requirements and benefits to create IT Project System Requests or ServiceNow change requests as needed.

  • Maintain and EDI Project Priority List

  • Drive Continuous Improvement

  • Reduce non-value-added activities in work and organizational processes.

  • Review the daily processes and suggest alternative solutions.

  • Streamline established work procedures and processes.

  • Identify gaps, determine root cause and implement sustainable solutions

  • Prepare and administer new or changing EDI specifications.Ensure accuracy of migration and testing data mapping, definition, relationship, trading partner from development into production.

Performance Reporting

  • Meet established schedules, time frames, and project deadlines.

  • Investigate and resolve EDI testing and production problems.

  • Track the transmission of EDI data into and out of SAP to ensure it is accurate and timely.

  • Effectively prioritizes and performs multiple tasks based on defined priorities.

  • Action key metric driven results and maintain internal and external customer engagement.

Supervisory Relationship

  • Reports to Manager – B2B Customer Service

  • No direct reports

Skills/Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required and College degree desired

  • Require two years of work experience in problem solving, trouble shooting, and training.

  • Basic knowledge of EDI data formats

  • Limited SAP experience with order entry, quotes, order management, pricing, warranty/claims, deductions, and shipping

  • Able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers

  • Drive continuous improvement with strong problem-solving skills

  • Facilitate and train with cross functional teams

  • Able to balance business needs as well as the customers’ needs

  • Travel - less than 5%

  • Hybrid - Kohler, WI 3 days/week

The salary range for this position is $69,800 - $87,950. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
