The Accounting and Finance organization is a mission and results driven team that operates with a strong sense of collaboration to support the business, while utilizing our technical expertise, as we manage processes to record, reconcile, and report all financial activity of the enterprise. The opportunity:
WestRock is seeking an experienced AR Team Manager to oversee customer billing, cash applications and related accounting activities across European countries in scope.
This role will report to the Order to Cash Senior Manager Europe and shall work closely with the Cash Collection Manager, as well as BPO provider. The ability to collaborate, influence and build partnerships will be critical. The following BAU responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
How you will impact WestRock:
Daily cooperation with a BPO provider to manage accurate and timely daily execution of cash application and billing activities, including management of relevant month-end AR tasks required to achieve optimal results of Accounts Receivables
Managing relevant KPIs reporting
Close cooperation with Cash Collections Manager to ensure seamless execution of Order to Cash activities, especially where there is significant overlap between SSC and BPO
Being first point of contact for auditors and internal stakeholders
Monitoring relevant KPIs and SLAs and ensuring they are calculated timely and accurately
Supporting standardization of cash applications and AR accounting processes and procedures
Accurate and timely recording of AR related journals
Accurate and timely reconciliation of AR related balance sheet accounts
Aligning practices and procedures in line with the wider Westrock Corporate Order to Cash policies
Supporting implementation of new technologies and improvement opportunities across Europe
Ensuring all processes are SOX compliant and in line with internal controls and processes
Additional adhoc work as required
What you need to succeed:
University degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Previous experience in implementing and leading AR & Cash Application shared services in a multinational organization required
Strong leadership and communication skills in interacting with external outsourced provider
Strong problem-solving skills
Must be very organized and systematic in approach to work
Advanced MS Excel, inclusive of V lookup, Pivot table, sorting and filters
Must have good time management skills and be able to meet strict deadlines
Change Management skills to implement changes smoothly and consistently across locations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with a strong presence.
There will be a requirement to travel on an ad-hoc basis
