Your Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for Software Development Manager to work on dynamically evolving IBM watsonx.ai offering from Kraków (Poland) office.

As a Software Development Manager in watsonx.ai, you will be mainly responsible for: leading software development team, ownership of the product modules/components and delivering new features, improvements and business value for clients using our product.

This role requires from candidate the leadership and change management skills, ability to work with and lead high-performing teams as well as general knowledge of analytics. The ideal candidate for this position should have strong background in software development with technical skills, project management expertise, be highly motivated to achieve results in fast-paced environemnt as well as have client-focused approach. Moreover, candidate should be passionate about new technologies, especially in areas of Machine Learning and Generative AI.

The responsibilities include:

• developing high-performing technical talent with focus on delivering solution and valueto the product

• driving development team to establish comprehensive plans and solutions to problems/challenges that would allow to deliver first-class product and its features to variety of clients.

• ensuring that activities around end-to-end product development are adequately sized, planned & tracked to meet the internal&external delivery expectations

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 5+ years of professional experience in the field, including experience in building & managing development teams

• Experience with project management, planning, tracking, prioritization

• Strong software development background with prior experinece in any modern programming langauages such as: Go, Python, Javascript, including software design & architecture

• Understanding of different development processes

• Excellent people management, communication and conflict resolution skills

• Fluent in written and spoken English

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Working knowledge and understanding of Machine Learning topics, including Large Language Models and connected technologies

• Comprehensive understanding of working with and contributing to open-source projects

• Experience with contenerized solutions including Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift is a plus

• Experience with cloud and hybrid environments/infrastructures is a plus
