The Cable Assembly Technician will build our wire harness, cable assembly and custom box build products for high-end defense customers.

Duties include: Reading blueprints and following wire harness assembly instructions Gathering materials and tooling necessary to perform work in an organized manner Routes, wires, and assembles electronic components using wire layout boards Perform numerous hand assembly operations based on detailed instructions Operating semi-automatic equipment such as crimp presses, wire twisters and wire strippers Conducting functional and continuity tests of wire harnesses and cable assemblies using friendly test fixtures Use of a solder iron to solder wires to switches or connectors Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process assemblies and finished products

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVE: 3+ years of cable or wire harness assembly experience within the military, defense, aerospace, or oil & gas industry J-soldering experience

As well as: Wire harness assembly instructions/blueprints Tooling knowledge Experience with cable wires and assembling electronic components Experience in following detailed instructions Continuity testing of wire harnesses and cable assemblies. Use of a Solder Iron and Calipers Knowledge of performing visual and dimensional inspections of in-process assemblies and finished products
