Responsibilities
The Training Center Faculty will help monitor new and renewing instructors in their discipline, document the process and are responsible to the Training Center Coordinator. This position will also teach American Heart Association (AHA) CPR/First Aid courses as needed. The Training Center Faculty position will serve as an expert resource on Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC) issues and protocols to the Training Center (TC) and Mayo Clinic Health SystemFranciscan Healthcare system.
Qualifications
High School Graduate or equivalent. Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Instructor certification. Minimum three to five years of experience as an AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Instructor. Maintains AHA requirements for BLS Healthcare Provider Instructor card. Must be willing to have some flexibility in schedule to teach CPR/First Aid courses during the evening or weekend. Willing to participate in a Training Center Faculty orientation. For those teaching ACLS and/or PALS must have a current AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor certification with a Minimum of 2 years of experience as an ACLS provider and a Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor certification with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a PALS provider.

This is a supplemental position. Schedule will vary based on dates of classes. Classes are typically held Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm.
