Job Description

Employee Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for splitting, commination, and homogenization of incoming samples in compliance with all applicable standard operating procedures and quality systems.

  2. Care and maintenance of equipment associated with this activity.

  3. Performs any duties as required by management or department not specifically detailed in this job description.

  4. Prepare incoming test samples by splitting, grinding with appropriate grinders, and homogenize for further testing in accordance with standard operating procedures and applicable quality control procedures.

  5. Clean workplace and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and general housekeeping requirements.

  6. Provide feedback to department manager for suggested improvement of procedures.

  7. Monitor and meet TAT requirements for sample workflow, and keep department manager informed when capacity constraints are anticipated that may delay TAT.

  8. Maintains assigned equipment according to standard operating procedures. Perform any and all operational qualifications prior to analysis according to standard operating procedures.

  9. Logs and delivers sample splits to testing departments, and as needed gets the appropriate signatures on the appropriate log.

  10. Responsible for logging and storing retains of the samples, as well as discarding the retains properly according to the appropriate standard operating procedure.

  11. Performing environmental monitoring, as needed.

  12. Enrich client samples with appropriate media as needed.

  13. Assist other technicians with weekly checklist.

Qualifications High School Diploma Proficient with computers and programs (Excel) Facilitate work cooperatively and independently Effective verbal and written communication skills Focus/interest in science/biology/microbiology Willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.,withadditional hours, as needed. Candidates currently living in a commutable distance to Lafayette, CO are encouraged to apply.
