The Global Instructional Design Principal will be part of the Clinical Global Learning Design team supporting the sales teams in the Surgical Operating Unit. Day in a Life
Create instructional design deliverables that adhere to modern learner principals and the concept of the flipped classroom
Collaborate closely with training managers, SMEs, project managers, and multi-media specialists to develop various deliverables such as: digital training assets, job aids, infographics, classroom activities, live virtual instructor-led classes, assessments, workbooks, etc. for our medical device sales teams and sales managers
Organize and transform raw content into usable, logical, concise, functional training documents
Ensure design documents adhere to Medtronic verbal identity standards, Commercial CapabilitiesCoE content design standards, legal, regulatory and intellectual property standards
Designing content to align with the learning needs of the target audience
Repurposing content to align the learning needs of the target audience
Structuring content and activities to maximize learning and retention
Incorporating multi-media support learning (visual aids for face-to-face, various multimedia)
Develop assessments for classroom activities and exams
Collaborate with functional partners to execute with speed and quality
Identify and champion new and creative approaches to business, operations and marketing opportunities and challenges.
Provide senior management and cross-functional partners with updates, reports, content, and presentations regarding marketing initiatives.
Ensure curriculum design includes metrics to demonstrate effectiveness of training and business impact
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree required, Masters Degree in Education, Curriculum Development/Instructional Design preferred
Minimum of 7 years of relevant training industry experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Nice to Have
5+ years instructional design experience
Demonstrated success working across cross-functional teams
Complex project management/project leadership
Microsoft Office Suite

Demonstrate strategic thinking skills, delivering a vision
Demonstrate cultural agility
Self-motivator and dynamic leader who can apply innovative thinking to business problems; solutions oriented

The provided base salary range is used nationally in the United States (except in Puerto Rico and certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
