Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:This position is responsible for the preparation of various account analysis, including maintaining fixed asset and mortgage schedules, reconciling account transactions, preparation for month/year end closing, and special projects as requested.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations, as assigned, and assist with the month-end and year-end close processes.2. Perform monthly bank reconciliations as assigned.3. Reconcile intercompany transactions and prepare account analyses.4. Maintain the Fixed Asset module and prepare summary fixed asset schedules. Reconcile fixed assets per the general ledger to the fixed asset module.5. Maintain the Loans/Mortgages and Bonds Schedule and prepare summary schedules. Reconcile these schedules against the general ledger and applicable amortization schedules.6. Prepare cash receipts allocations and record journal entries related to the monthly close.7. Reconcile cash receipts with Avatar report monthly.8. Prepare inventory schedule monthly and reconcile to the general ledger.9. Prepare schedules and record journal entries related to the monthly/yearly close.10. Assist with the year-end Audit.11. Prepare other schedules and analyses as needed.12. Maintain required reports, records, and files.13. Special projects as required by supervisors.14. Maintain confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting r equired. Three (3) years of experience. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Access.
