Description

We are in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a well-known and reputable company located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Accounts Payable clerk is a contract to permanent opportunity that will work closely with the Manager and Controller over the Accounts Payable team. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for supporting our business activities, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with various tasks within the procurement process. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working in a very fast paced / high volume environment, excellent Microsoft Excel skills and a minimum of 2 years of Accounts Payable experience.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the ordering of supplies and raw materials to support business and purchasing department activities.

• Provide essential accounting and administrative support.

• Generate Purchase Orders in COUPA and maintain accurate vendor files in SAP.

• Contribute to semi-annual physical inventory procedures.

• Review invoices for taxability and verify vendor invoices for accuracy.

• Input material usage tickets into inventory software and prepare monthly journal entries for material inventory usage reports.

• Collaborate with Corporate procurement on sourcing materials and CapEx purchases.

• Assist in maintaining the CapEx spending and partake in other month end closing tasks as needed.

• Undertake any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar financial role.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation and accounts payable (AP) is necessary.

• Knowledge of SAP and Coupa software is preferred.
