Overview

The IGT Technical Communications Services team creates technical documents for casino game and systems software, firmware, and hardware products, including Release Notes, Installation Guides, Parts Manuals, and Support Guides. We are looking for a detail-oriented writer with a passion for learning and taking on new challenges. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to produce high-quality documents from complex technical information.

Responsibilities

• Gather and interpret complex technical information for technical and non-technical audiences.

• Manage documentation tasks for multiple products simultaneously.

• Work closely with subject matter experts in a collaborative, Agile environment to ensure accuracy and completeness of content.

• Build effective and productive relationships with peers and stakeholders.

• Adhere to established documentation standards and processes.

• Remain flexible for ad hoc documentation requests.

Work Location

We anticipate this position will be in the office (Reno or Las Vegas, NV) approximately 10% of the time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in technical writing.

• Excellent organizational skills and a high level of interpersonal skills mandatory.

• Must be a self-motivated team player with demonstrated ability to manage projects, tasks, and special assignments independently.

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with minimal supervision.

• Experience with MadCap Flare preferred. Knowledge of HTML5, XML, CSS, Jira, and Confluence a plus.

• Must be able to provide a portfolio of relevant work samples.

• Casino systems experience preferred.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $50,482-$115,000. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
