LeSuuer is home to a historic downtown, variety of housing, great school district, fishing, apple orchard and friendly community Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY: The HR/Safety Administrative position support the Farm Operations in a wide range of HR and Safety related activities. This position is responsible for assisting with daily duties well prioritizing, conducting training, recruiting hourly (non-exempt) workforce, onboarding and tracking of safety trainings. Qualifications DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Hourly Recruiter focus area is staffing/recruiting for the hourly vacancies for all farm locations. Update job descriptions and job postings as needed. Recruitment (non-exempt) - posting vacancies, interviews, offers, pre-employment, orientation, job fairs, school presentations, tours, etc. Assists applicants as needed with job applications, accepting offers electronically, initiating background scheduling drug tests, and electronic onboarding documents. Translate onsite interviews for Supervisor. Track and update applicant and vacancy information electronically, using the ATS (applicant tracking system), Excel, and other systems. Retention efforts EBI (I-9) expiration and system maintenance. Assists with administration of various human resources and safety programs and functions. Employee gifts, meals, and events Attendance tracking and discipline notices. New hire benefit enrollments, annual enrollments, and insurance questions Ensure company bulletin boards and postings are current. Utilizing spreadsheets to track paperwork and processes for Safety & HR. Assist on Safety Teams through the SRMP process. Monitor data such as safety inspections, exposure level testing, SDS program, etc. Aid with presentations (preparation, room set-up, projector, laptop, etc.) Translates in Safety and HR meetings on a weekly, monthly, or as needed basis. Create spreadsheets, charts, etc., as needed through excel. Compile, update, generate and distribute reports to appropriate parties. Perform safety audits and inspections as directed by the HR/Safety Supervisor. Assist with investigation of unsafe acts/conditions, ergonomic incidents, and injuries. Data entry, answering phones, photocopying, faxing, filing, etc.). Assists employees as needed. Able to travel to the Farm locations in Gaylord, MN as needed. Assists with trainings, presentation and/or events (designing Power Point presentations, room set-up, etc.). Participates on committees as needed for HR/Safety presence and support. Assumes personal responsibility to ensure safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks. Adhere to biosecurity procedures when entering and exiting farm locations. Adheres to Quality work practices, follows GMP’s, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures that product quality is maintained. Reports to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality. Able to work overtime and holidays when needed. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned, ex. newsletter, trainings, postings, etc. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related field or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience (i.e., general safety, HR, business, etc.). Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong attention to detail. Bilingual English/Spanish Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Ability to work well with all levels (be a team player). Must be willing to work flexible hours and shifts as needed. Presentation Skills – will be speaking in front of groups/meetings. Must have the ability to work independently.Must be professional in dealing with personnel issues including confidential information.
