Position Summary

Mitutoyo America Corporation, leader in Metrology solutions, is looking for an Electrical Controls Engineer that is proficient with use and design of machine control systems, PLC program development, Schematic development, use of CAD (AutoCAD), familiarity with current regulations and industry standards. What youll do?

- - Perform functions to provide support for both, customers, distributors, Mitutoyo sales and support staff with systems evaluation, product demonstrations, product instruction, selling, supporting, designing and develop of measurement solutions, packages, and related products as it pertains to custom measurement applications.

``` - - Assist in testing new systems and fixes to ensure specification conformance.

``` - - Assist Mitutoyo America service personnel with support of custom equipment and applications.

``` - - Proficient use of CAD to design electrical control schematics for custom and automated measurement applications.

``` - - Design, build, service and support of safe custom measurement applications and associated hardware/software. Omron, Mitsubishi, Siemens automation, motion controls and PLC experience is a plus.

``` - - Proficient understanding of industrial material handling, manufacturing, and quality control processes. Conveyance, gantry, and robotic experience a plus.

``` - - Respond to user calls providing technical assistance to resolve moderately complex problems. Troubleshoot hardware, interface, and operating systems issues.

``` - - Respond to inquiries and provide support regarding integration and automation of Mitutoyo equipment. Recommend and assist in developing suitable and safe automation plans.

``` - - Respond to customer product inquiries, determine product applicability, and refer to Sales for follow-up call.

``` - - Provide instructions to conduct demonstrations for and answer technical questions from customers, integrators and Mitutoyo America.

``` - - Participate in sales calls and demonstrations with distributors and Mitutoyo America sales personnel.

``` - - Participate in and support Mitutoyo America and distributor trade shows.

``` - - Document user problems for replication in-house. Work with related personnel to debug or resolve problems.

``` - - Research emerging controls architecture and report findings to aid in future development of Mitutoyo product.

``` - - Keep informed on Mitutoyo America products and effective demonstration and integration techniques related to them.
