About the role

• Our Cash Collection EMEA department, composed of 16 people, is integrated in the Credit Management Service Line and focuses on the analysis and control of customer’s accounts in collaboration with different departments and stakeholders.

• Our Treasury Service Unit - Tools & Bank Account Management team, composed of 26 people, is integrated in the Finance Service Line focused on Bank Accounts Management and Risk Management in collaboration with other Service Units and local teams.

• Our Accounting Platform (ACP), composed of 35 people, is integrated in the Finance Service Line and focused on accounting and reporting activities, collaborating with other Service Units and local teams

• As a Credit, Treasury Tools & Bank Account Management Trainee, you will work on the Cash Collections process, managing a portfolio of customers from different markets in EMEA, maintain Solvay group bank accounts (worldwide scope) and assist in Risk management, and also accounting activities by providing user friendly financial reports that support Global Businesses, Functions and Corporate for decision making, by providing Balance sheets, Cash Flow, Profit and Loss statements, compliant with legal and Group requirements, through standardized, automated and streamlined processes with best efficiency.

• You will be accountable for:

• Analyzing customers’ accounts and identify their payment behavior;

• Understand the terms: payment terms, Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), dispute and others related to Collections routine;

• Creation, maintenance and closure of Solvay group bank accounts (worldwide scope)

• Support with Know-Your-Customer (KYC) process with the banks

• Assistance in internal control and external audit

• Support the closure run for a given legal entity according to closing timetable, perform technical and accounting controls, analyzing, solving blocking matters and assist the release of financial package for consolidation;

• Perform accounting operations, according to Company Accounting Manager/Director (CAM/CAD) requests, needs and guidelines, in line with accounting standards and closing deadlines

• This is a 1 year rotational internship with the duration of 4 months in each team

• We offer a 12 months Internship contract based on hybrid working mode

About you

• Relevant education degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting

• Competencies:

• Fluent in English

• German/ French/ Italian/ Spanish languages are a plus

• Accounting knowledge

• MS Excel

• Google tools

• Behaviors:
