The Role

This person will be responsible for handling the reconciliation process for all trial balance accounts directly related to the insurance and reinsurance business. Ensure that insurance and reinsurance companies balances are reconciled with the statements provided, chasing the divergencies on a regularly base.

Supporting the reports to tax and regulatory entities will also be part of this role.

What will you do?

• Responsible for fiduciary bank accounts monthly reconciliations.

• Responsible for reconciling insurance, reinsurance, and third-parties accounts.

• Research variances and resolving reconciliations issues.

• Identify improvements on reconciliation processes for greater operational efficiency.

• Process reinsurance payments ensuring correct allocation of funds and accurate recording.

• Keep the records up to date.

• Control reinsurance balances.

• Act in compliance with SOX requirements.

• Support on month-end accounting deliverables.

• Support on tax reporting preparation.

• Support the reports to the regulatory entity.

• Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring the availability of documentation and explanation of accounting/treasury procedures.

• Stay up to date on best accounting practices and relevant financial regulations.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Accounting and Taxation or Business Administration and Management

• 3-5 years of experience (ideally in an insurance brokerage company)

• Proficient in English (mandatory)

• Proficient in MS-Excel and Database (mandatory)

• Aptitude to manipulate large amounts of data

• Oracle experience

• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize work and meet tight deadlines.
