Job Description
Summary/Objective
The EFuT Technician II position applies comprehensive knowledge and experience to solve
complex or system problems; those that typically are not able to be solved solely by
reference to maintenance manuals or similar documents. At this level, the incumbent may
have their work reviewed by a EFuT Tech III for general compliance with accepted practices.
They may also provide technical guidance and instruction to EFuT Technician I.
Essential Functions

the essential functions. The essential job functions for this position include:
Must be proficient in the use and operation of test equipment to perform pre- and
post-operational tests on installed equipment to perform preventive maintenance
using preventative maintenance cards and instruction books.
Must possess skills necessary to diagnose and isolate malfunctions in electronic
systems; align, adjust and calibrate installed training devices; interpret mechanical,
hydraulic, electrical and electronic schematics and prepare simplified versions.
Must possess skills to perform calibrations, adjustments and tests on electronic
equipment; analyze operation, verify discrepancies, isolate malfunctions and replace
defective components used in installed devices
Must possess and maintain proficiency in the use of diagnostic programs,
interpretation of results, and the use of program listings to isolate faults and be adept
in the use of test equipment, repair of micro/miniature printed circuit boards,
electro/mechanical systems and devices to include projection display systems,
computer controlled motion and electronic control loading systems and computer
generated sound systems.
Must be able to work within a team environment with senior technician supervision.
Must be able to drive a forklift, man-lift, or other material handling support equipment
as required.
Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret routine word and technical
documents/diagrams. Will be required to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries
and complaints. Must be able to generate effective oral and written presentations on
routine subjects.
Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid
conclusions. An ability to interpret routine customer requirements and attitudes from
verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is desirable. Ability to read and
understand electrical schematics and drawings.
Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds overhead.
Must be able to walk and/or climb stairs and ladder into a simulator or airplane
cockpit.
Performs other duties as assigned.
