Suwannee County Board of County Commissioners Office Specialist in Live Oak, Florida

[Full-time position assists the Code Enforcement Officer(s) with clerical and administrative work, including but not limited to preparing of paperwork associated with all administrative hearings and legal notices, answering phones, receiving the public, providing customer assistance, and data processing. This position is also responsible for handling confidential and time-sensitive material related to the legal aspects of code cases.

[Minimum qualifications are a high school diploma or GED with one (1) to two (2) years of related experience and/or training, typing skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must have considerable knowledge of related secretarial and office methods, practices, policies, and procedures within 90 days of hire, ability to acquire necessary information and skills to perform the job reasonably well within six (6) months of employment and, upon completion of probationary period, code enforcement certification will be required. Applicants must possess a valid Florida Drivers License and have excellent people skills. Minimum salary is $16.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience, plus a generous benefits package.
