Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Land Development Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the successful delivery of our land development projects, including land entitlement, land development, accounts payable related to their jobs and managing assistants. This role will liaise with various stakeholders, including engineers, surveyors, architects, and contractors, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. If you have a background in land development and a track record of successfully managing projects from conception to completion, we'd like to meet you.

Projects will be mainly along the Northern end of the state, between Cache, Box Elder, Weber, and Davis counties. This position will be based out of the Visionary office in Logan, UT. You will spend approximately 60% of your time in office, and 40% in the field.

 

Responsibilities

  • Review construction documents and subdivision plats

  • Read city municipal codes and ordinances to help plan projects and understand development processes

  • City public meeting attendance and participation will be required with this position.

  • Conduct regular quality inspections of trade work

  • Proactively monitor projects for areas that are failing to meet expectations and identify methods to resolve issues and get projects back in line with financial, operational, and scheduling requirements

  • Make recommendations and offer solutions that improve departmental processes

  • Demonstrate innovative problem-solving and strong analytical skills

Education/Experience

  • Experience in land development project management.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the land entitlement process and land development regulations.

  • Proven experience in financial management, including accounts payable.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in using project management software.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external, to Visionary Homes.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires prolonged sitting, while working at the computer

  • Requires valid driver license and ability to drive amongst our developments.

  • Will require walking amongst our developments in good or inclement weather.
