What you can expect

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivatedManagement Accountant. You will provide financial accounting and reporting for the business group based at BASF Metals Ltd, London, under the supervision of the Finance Manager

The incumbent will work as a key member of Finance teamproviding financial reporting and accounting in accordance with internal and external requirements and regulations and acts in compliance with Company guidelines.

The position involves Hybrid working.

As the Management Accountant your main responsibilities will be:

• Providing accounting and reporting for the group companies which will include the preparation and analysis of daily trading and broker reconciliations.

• Month-end and year-end reporting and collaborating closely with the Group auditors during the Group reporting process for the year-end.

• Assist in the preparation of the local statutory account’s schedules, tax-related inquiries along with cash management and assisting with preparation of monthly and yearly forecasts and an annual budget.

• Ensure that a robust system of internal controls exists to satisfy internal year-end.

• Financial Reporting Compliance (FRC) audits and FCA regulations in a timely manner including updating process controls as the need arises.

• Treasury - assist in cash management, e.g., management of foreign exposures, in accordance with Corporate policies and procedures. Respond to inquiries from BASF Treasury regarding cash flow and liquidity.

• Ensuring that Company guidelines are accurately inplemented.

• Provide project support, assistance and cover of other team members when needed

What we expect:

Qualification /Skills/ Experience for the role

A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related subject area, and you will be a member of a professional accounting body (Full or Part Qualified accepted).

Previous experience of controlling, planning, finance and accounting are an asset along with experience of SAP.

Advanced Microsoft Excel is required.

A solid understanding of international regulations, laws on accounting and taxation along with an understanding of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
