This role supports one of Home Cares Heads of Marketing and the leaders reporting to them. The role will provide pro-active and high-level assistance in a busy and demanding environment, ensuring a consistent and high level of service.


  • Providing full support to the Head of and their team, including management and forward diary planning, which can often be complex with conflicting leadership teams and agendas and frequent changes and overlap

  • Organising local and international meetings, workshops, internal and external small and large events and offsites, including booking meeting rooms, venue and vendor sourcing, defining the programme, arranging team activities and logistics and ensuring technical set-up runs smoothly

  • Organisation and coordination of international and local travel, including preparation of itineraries, visas and logistics together with management of out of office requirements as required

  • Organising and preparing meeting materials at least 24hrs in advance where needed

  • Screening, redirecting, and responding to email correspondence (as appropriate/ applicable, flagging issues and seeking inputs where necessary

  • Responding to queries and requests for information from all parts of the organisation on an ad hoc basis.

  • Responding to external speculative requests and queries, as necessary.

  • Processing expenses and invoices using relevant systems,

  • Raise, track, and close of Purchase Orders and equipment when needed, liaising with procurement & suppliers to ensure prompt payment

  • Pro-actively tackling issues related to administrative processes to ensure speed and efficiency.

  • Liaison with internal and external contacts - developing knowledge of key individuals, including PA network and wider network.

  • Operating with flexibility and where required out of core hours to support the business

  • Discrete and discerning with high composure and confidentiality awareness


This role requires proven experience and track record of high performance as a Personal Assistant and experience working in a regional or global organization across time zones.

  • Critically, you must be well organised, able to prioritise tasks of high complexity and have the ability to build relationships with an international network and have previous experience working with a large number of stakeholders internally and externally.

  • Excellent in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Sharepoint/One Drive and MS Teams.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are important, plus experience in managing office processes and where necessary, developing new approaches to meeting changing needs.

  • You must be comfortable working in a virtual environment and building collaboration with people from different cultures around the world.

  • Initiative to think proactively how to support the leadership team to be as efficient as possible in using their time.

  • Comfortable working independently with numbers, budgets, meetings agendas and minutes

  • You must be trustworthy and sensitive when exposed to confidential information.

Recruitment Fraud

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs.  These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

How is Unilever tackling this?

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
