Robert Half Dispatcher in Long Beach, California

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Dispatcher in the Oil & Gas industry based in Long Beach, California. This role involves coordinating the daily operations of the service department, tracking service calls, repairs, and upgrades, and ensuring efficient communication and data provision for company operations.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the daily activities of Maintenance Technicians and external vendors as required.

• Drive the resolution process for all service calls, repairs, upgrades, and compliance issues.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date service and equipment records.

• Track and follow up on open service calls, repairs, upgrades, and site issues to ensure timely resolution.

• Prioritize service calls and ensure they are responded to in an appropriate time and manner.

• Order parts as needed and verify warranty and core returns are processed and completed.

• Assist with scheduling and coordination of Maintenance Technician certifications.

• Assist in obtaining quotes and proposals for repair replacement decisions.

• Utilize Key Performance Indicators to monitor Vendors and Maintenance Technicians.

• Provide timely reports on Maintenance Department Operations.

• Assist in processing Maintenance Department paperwork and information.

• Dispatch Maintenance Technicians, Vendors, Equipment, Services, and materials as needed to address Site issues.

• Track and follow up on approvals, warranty, and invoicing for service calls, repairs, upgrades, and site issues.

Skills required include dispatching, handling service calls, proposal documents, and account maintenance. Requirements • Minimum of one year of experience in a dispatching role within the Oil & Gas industry

• Proficient in handling service calls and managing customer requests

• Experience in creating and maintaining proposal documents

• Demonstrable skills in account maintenance and management

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure

• Proficient in using dispatching software and tools

• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Ability to work in a team and contribute to achieving team goals

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
