Robert Half Facilities Assistant in Los Angeles, California

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Facilities Assistant in the hospitality industry in Los Angeles, California. This role involves managing office facilities, coordinating with vendors and service providers, and ensuring a smooth and efficient workplace environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage building property, ensuring optimal use and maintenance

• Coordinate with electricians and other service vendors for any required repairs or installations

• Manage the facilities for an office environment with a large number of employees

• Handle pantry management, ensuring adequate supplies and cleanliness

• Perform front desk duties, including greeting and assisting visitors

• Collaborate with IT for platform management, using tools such as Zendesk

• Utilize software such as MS Office and Zendesk for efficient task management

• Handle facilities coordination tasks and receptionist duties as required

• Manage and maintain a professional and efficient workplace environment

• Ensure the smooth operation of facilities for the comfort and convenience of employees and visitors. Requirements • Previous experience in a Facilities Assistant role or similar within the hospitality industry

• Demonstrated skills in facility coordination, including maintenance, safety procedures, and space optimization

• Proven ability to perform receptionist duties such as handling calls, greeting guests, and managing mail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff and guests

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks

• Detail-oriented with the ability to spot potential issues before they become problems

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with email and Microsoft Office applications

• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality management or facility management certification is a plus

• Physical fitness to handle the manual aspects of the role.
