VCA Animal Hospitals Facilities Maintenance Associate in Los Angeles, California

VCA West Los Angeles is seeking a skilled, reliable, and passionate Facilities Maintenance Associate to join our team. We pride ourselves on providing high quality care to our patients, and we believe that a clean, safe, and well-maintained facility is an essential part of that care.

As a Facilities Maintenance Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring that our facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained by conducting routine maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, building and HVAC repairs. You will perform regular inspections of the facility to identify and resolve any issues or hazards and manage the inventory of supplies and equipment needed for maintenance and repairs. Additionally, you will coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for large-scale repairs and projects and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.

  • Perform regular inspections of the facility to identify and resolve any issues or hazards.

  • Manage the inventory of supplies and equipment needed for maintenance and repairs.

  • Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for large-scale repairs and projects.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • At least 2 years of experience in facilities and maintenance work.

  • Knowledge of basic plumbing, minor electrical, and HVAC systems.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.

VCA Animal Hospitals offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, pet care discounts, paid vacation, holidays and sick days, health and well-being programs that provide resources and training.

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $21.00 to $26.00 per hour.
