Description

A Real Estate Investment firm is hiring an HR Administrator on a contract-to-hire basis. The HR Administrator will manage payroll and time & attendance, along with supporting the day-to-day operations of the HR department including but not limited to recruiting, onboarding, and performance management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:

Process bi-weekly payroll (via ADP Workforce Now):

-Review employee timecards and time-off requests and resolve any time & attendance issues.

-Process payroll for a team of approximately 150 employees.

-Process commissions, bonuses, and other special compensation.

-Review payroll reports for accuracy.

-Generate weekly and monthly payroll reports.

-Process manual/final checks as needed.

-Payroll audits as needed.

Support recruiting & hiring functions:

-Work with hiring managers to draft and update job descriptions.

-Post job openings on a variety of sites and maintain employer site profiles.

-Ensure job postings reach desired candidates and research new outreach options when needed.

-Coordinate the hiring process, including conducting applicant reviews and screening calls, scheduling interviews and testing, collecting candidate documents, preparing offer letters, and communicating with candidates/new hires.

-Conduct background checks, reference checks, and pre-employment drug screenings.

Oversee and streamline the employee onboarding experience:

-Coordinate with all necessary staff on new hire start dates.

-Ensure all IT equipment, accounts, and required training are set up.

-Obtain all appropriate legal hire documentation (i.e., I-9, wage notice, housing agreements, etc.)

-Onboard new hires into the HRIS ADP Workforce Now

-Performance management of new hires, including checking in with new hires, ensuring managers conduct 30-60-90-day check-ins, etc.

Assist with other HR functions:

-Answer requests for information and employee inquiries and respond to legal requests or notices as assigned.

-Ensure legal posting requirements are met at all employee work locations.

-Assist in providing training as needed, in coordination with HR Director.

-Administer performance management program.

-Assist with annual benefits open enrollment and training events.

-Oversee safety program policies and training.

-Additional duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of HR experience and a desire to grow within HR. ADP Workforce Now experience is preferred along with a bachelor’s degree and an HR certification (aPHR, PHRca, PHR, SHRM-CP), or equivalent experience preferred. Pay is based on experience, between $55-75k. This is a fully onsite role.

Requirements - Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects

  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

  • At least 2+ years of HR related experience desired

  • Proficiency in HRIS

  • Payroll for under 100 employees experience highly desired

  • Proven knowledge of benefits administration

  • Foundational knowledge in PHR

  • Expertise in HRIS

  • Comprehensive knowledge of SPHR

  • Able to maintain an approachable and appropriate attitude when interacting with all levels of personnel in a rapidly changing environment

  • Past experience handling confidential business matters and information with discretion

  • Have prior experience in office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
