A leading intellectual property (IP) and trademark firm located in Century City is in search of a Patent Legal Assistant with a minimum of one year’s experience, eager to grow and contribute to our team. As a Patent Legal Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in patent registration and maintenance

• Reviewing patent portfolios and comparing hard copy patent files with those at the USPTO

• Ensuring precision in all documents through proofreading

• Managing data entry tasks with a keen attention to detail

• Being proactive to improve efficiency and productivity

Prior experience or internship in trademark law will enhance your candidacy.

The ideal candidate for this role should:

• Hold 1+ year of experience working in a legal environment, preferably in intellectual property law or in a IP related internship. However, all law firm or corporate legal experience will be considered.

• Demonstrate proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and graphics software

• Enjoy collaborative teamwork, yet take the lead when required

• Possess exemplary communication and writing skills

• Prioritize detail-oriented tasks and maintain an organized schedule

• Have experience interacting professionally with corporate clients

• Have a bachelor’s degree

Requirements

IP experience or internship preferred

bachelors degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited school

1+ year of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department
