BECOME A SHUTTLE BUS DRIVER!
Our Shuttle Bus Driver is responsible for safely and promptly transporting passengers between various airport locations. The driver must follow strict schedules to ensure passengers reach their destinations on time while maintaining safety and comfort. Duties also include assisting with luggage and answering passenger questions about airport facilities and services. Regular vehicle maintenance checks and reporting any issues or delays to the transport team are essential parts of the job.
WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS A SHUTTLE BUS DRIVER
Safely transport passengers between terminals, parking lots, and other airport locations
Adhere to all traffic and airport regulations while driving
Assist passengers with embarking and disembarking, ensuring their comfort and safety
Handle passenger luggage with care during loading and unloading
Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle at all times
Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues
Keep accurate records of travel routes, passenger counts, and schedules
Respond professionally to passenger inquiries and provide excellent customer service
Coordinate with airport staff and other drivers to manage traffic and parking challenges
Stay informed of flight schedules and airport events to anticipate passenger needs
May be assigned other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
18 years of age or older
Eligible to work in the United States
Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents
Ability to use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
Effectively communicate both in-person and through electronic means
Pass a background check and drug screen
Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
Ability to work any day/shift, including holidays, within a 24/7 operation
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY/WORKING CONDITIONS MAY INCLUDE:
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
Position is generally sedentary, sitting for long periods of time
Must be able to push, pull
Must be able to crawl, at times in confined tight spaces
Must be able to bend, stretch, squat
Exposure to moderate and at times high noise levels
Exposure to Biohazards and/or Chemicals
Exposure to outdoor elements
Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms
Tasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers
Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
