It is anticipated that Lewis County will have the following vacancy available:

DATE: April 17, 2024 CLOSING: May, 3rd, 2024 POSITION: Deputy Director of Public Health, Full-Time Department of Public Health POSTING NUMBER: SALARY RANGE: $66,000- $71,386/year MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
a.Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Masters Degree or higher level degree in Nursing, Public Health, Business Administration and two (2) years of experience in a public health agency, hospital, or health and/or human services field; OR

b.Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Business Administration and four (4) years of experience in a public health agency, hospital, or health and/or human services field; OR

c.An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of A. and B. above.

The successful candidate will be required to pass a competitive Civil Service Examination and be reachable for appointment on the resulting Civil Service List.

This position will be filled in accordance with Civil Service Rules and Regulations.
