Framatome is seeking experienced metrology technicians to support field and office activities working out of the Mill Ridge office located in Lynchburg, Va. Framatome is an engineering and service company that supports the needs of the commercial nuclear fleet in the US and abroad. Our people are high performers with safety and quality as our driving forces.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Plan and execute field assignments working in a team environment as the working project task lead

• Oversee and ensure project execution

• Providing solutions to customer project concerns, creating measurement plans and generating reports

  Travel: Up to 75%. This work requires travel to customer’s sites within the continental US with potential for travel abroad.

Required SkillsRequired Experience

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for this opportunity:

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree

  The following may be used to differentiate candidates who apply for this position:

• Experience in industrial photogrammetry, laser trackers, total stations, portable CMM’s and laser scanners

• Strong background with Spatial Analyzer, Geo-Magic and/or other 3D analysis software.

• Experience with MicroStation or other CAD packages, modeling software, machinist or pipe fitting experience are a plus.

• Experience with component replacement.

• Experience with pipe fabrication

• Experience with machining and tool setup.

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data.

• Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships.

• Excellent problem identification and problem resolution skills.

  Our total rewards package

  The range of base salary for the position is between $26 - $33 per hour, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
