You may have also acquired the following skills:

  • Previous leadership experience managing projects and/or supervision and developing teams

  • Active Professional Engineering (PE) License or ability and willingness to obtain

  • Knowledge of and experience in applying ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel code

  • Knowledge and experience using FEA codes (ANSYS, LS-DYNA) and stress and fatigue calculations

  • Comfortable interfacing directly with customers and regulators

    Your Opportunity

    This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Supervisor, Specialty Structural Analysis Engineering in Lynchburg, VA (remote work will also be considered), you will be part of the proven team in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include:

  • Resource planning of the Component Analysis specialists and execution of their solutions in the Installed Base Engineering organization. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Build an effective, collaborative team spirit.

  • Develop team through training, mentoring, feedback, and work assignments.

  • Performs resource planning and directs the timely execution of engineering activities.

  • Works interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships.

  • Researches and assesses best practices, proposing methods and improvements. Supports OpEx initiatives.

  • Works with sales team to develop scope and provide inputs to proposals.

  • Coordinate with Project Managers and Supervisors of other teams.

  • Ensures effective performance of engineering assignments.

  • Ensures adherence to government, organization and customer engineering standards and procedures. Maintains a healthy technical conscience within the team.

  • Monitors goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members.

    Your Total Rewards Package

    The range of base salary for the position is between $110,000 - $149,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
