This is a full time onsite, direct job with full benefits. Great matching candidates will have a strong shop floor, machining and quality engineering background. You will be working within the Quality Engineering Department onsite at our large aviation customer.

Manufacturing Quality Engineer job duties:

o Work with operators and salaried management personnel to understand area requirements

• Work cross functionally with quality and design engineers to ensure that new processes achieve established metrics

• Translate technical processes and methods to train and empower production employees in the manufacturing techniques required for greatest yield effectiveness & equipment capability

• Processes include, but are not limited to machining (CNC and manual), welding, brazing

• Assist Production Supervisors and production employees in resolving manufacturing process problems through a drive to root cause and permanent corrective action

• Own business KPI"s such as manufacturing losses and nonconformance reduction

• Obtain preliminary review certification

Qualifications:

• Three or more years of experience in a manufacturing and quality engineering role, ideally within aerospace industries

• Knowledge in various manufacturing processes (machining, welding, fabrication, and NDT, etc.)

• Proficient understanding of GD&T with ability to read blueprints, routers, planners

• Experience analyzing problems, identifying root causes and providing efficient solutions using structured methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

• Ability to communicate effectively with operators, peers, and management, in both written and oral manners

• Due to the nature of the work, US citizenship or permanent resident required

Desired skills:

• Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering Degree

• Six Sigma or equivalent Quality training

• CNC programming skills; NX or MasterCam
