JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: This position will support the research program of Andrea Gilmore-Bykovskyi, PhD, RN, a leader in dementia care research and Associate Professor in the BerbeeWalsh Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. The person in this position will serve as a primary Research Specialist for an NIH-funded study focused on examining lucidity among people with dementia surrounding end of life care. This study has established and implemented data collection procedures for audiovisual observations among people with dementia in inpatient hospice settings and is currently in an ongoing phase of expanding data collection while also analyzing and disseminating findings. This individual will be responsible for the development and implementation of assigned research protocols, including recruitment, data collection, study conduct, compliance, monitoring, reporting, data quality control, and ongoing support with dissemination. The roles and responsibilities of this role require the person in this position to manage relationships with multiple, diverse stakeholders, including lab staff, clinical staff, family/friend caregivers of people with dementia, and people with dementia. Responsibilities: Develops, designs, and conducts one or more research projects and organizes daily operation of projects and specialized research areas to ensure work meets established objectives under moderate supervision. 20% Conducts research experiments according to established research protocols with moderate impact to the project(s).
