Position Summary

Integrated within the Engineering department, you will perform, manage, follow, supervise mechanical activities on projects. Supported by the Mechanical Leader, you will design Jet Aviation’s design principles and will ensure their successful integration.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support to Quotation for different projects and perform small project quotation if required

  • Perform technical aircraft survey (pictures, dimensions, 3D scan…)

  • Define the way of working and deliverables in order to match with the project requirements assumptions

  • Design mechanical design principle during the project upfront phase, under the supervision of the Mechanical Leader

  • Define properly the mechanical interfaces with supplier, ensure various support and follow-up

  • Ensure Lessons Learned are well integrated on project discipline level

  • Distribute and prioritize tasks and sub-projects among the project assigned staff in reference to the available manpower capacity, staff skills and tasks constraints discipline level

  • Realize engineering 3D models and 2D drawings for mechanical parts, assembly, and installation drawings as per: Engineering mechanical design rules and processes (material and processes guideline, sheet metal rules, machined rules, standard and fasteners selection and installation rules, bonding and grounding….)

  • Motivate and guide permanent or temporary assigned staff to reach the goals (schedule, quality and cost) set by the projects/departmentdiscipline level (optional)

  • Ensure a design to weight and design to cost approach in accordance with project requirement discipline level

  • Develop engineering tools, methods and processed, within the department scope

  • React and address immediately risk items, identify and chase project roadblocks and identify all gaps between the activity performed and the scope sold to the customer

  • Involve all relevant expertise (Production Engineering, stress, CVE, Flammability, shops…) to secure your activity, analyze feedbacks and integrate relevant remarks

  • Rework (Revision, Deviation Sheets, Concession, red Line) on 3D Parts, assembly drawing and installation drawing

  • Participate and/or witness tests and prepare the corresponding report as required.

  • Lead mechanical activity on small projects

  • Lead a mechanical discipline (Monuments, Structure, System) on different projects

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in functional area or related professional field from an accredited university

  • Minimum of 3 years in Engineering mechanical domains

  • Able to perform differentiator concepts (mechanism, kinematic)

  • Proficient with CAE & CAD tools (i.e. AutoCAD, Catia V5, Siemens NX, TeamCenter, etc.), and Microsoft Office

  • Good and positive communication, motivated team-player

  • Comfortable to work in a stressful and highly demanding environment

  • Mother tongue Spanish with very good knowledge of English
