What you will do-

Stryker Orthopedics is seeking to hire a Senior Engineer, Manufacturing/Operations to support the manufacturing of joint replacement products in Mahwah, New Jersey.

As a Senior Engineer, Manufacturing/ Operations with the operations team you will provide manufacturing engineering support and direct projects for assigned cells.

  • You will define & implement specific solutions to technical problems, completing the tasks associated with such projects and writing reports that clearly document the results

  • Responsible for validation work including writing and executing validations

  • You will resolve in-house and supplier quality problems using established problem-solving methodologies

  • You will participate in the development and improvement of the manufacturing process for existing and new products

  • You will review & approve inspection plans, routers and product drawings

  • You will facilitate quality remediation, gap closure through partnership with cell Quality Engineers

  • Support with initiating and closure of non-conformance and corrective and action preventative actions

  • Supporting projects, bringing in capital equipment for new manufacturing lines and upgrades to existing lines

  • You will work cross functionally with teams for projects and initiatives including lean manufacturing, added capacity and new product launches

  • Provide technical support for quality control, process improvement, cost savings, process development projects, new product launches, equipment qualifications, and process validations

  • Operate within Stryker's quality system to produce documentation such as, inspection plans, equipment maintenance logs and standard operating procedures

What you need-

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required

  • A minimum of 2+ years' experience in a production/manufacturing environment required

  • Advanced working knowledge of DMAIC process, and GD&T required

  • Previous manufacturing Co-Op experience- preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineer or industrial engineer- preferred

  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environment- preferred

  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Must be comfortable presenting at team level meetings- preferred
