Amazon Fresh UK is looking for a talented Vendor Experience Manager with a background in buying, category management or vendor management.

The role includes leading the annual negotiation cycles, understanding and addressing vendor pain-points, ensuring full compliance to regulatory body (GSCOP), and creating best practice vendor communication plan. The candidate will have a strong understanding of joint business planning and vendor negotiations, and be familiar with grocery industry best practice. The Vendor Experience Manager will have responsibility for Amazon Vendor Negotiation cycle for UK Fresh, leading approach and co-ordination across the UK, as well as informing EU wide approach.

The role is responsible for developing / executing a highly productive approach to annual negotiations / JBPs, and supporting the buying teams through identifying opportunities (e.g. commodities) and inventing mechanisms to enable improved data and insight across the buying team.

Key job responsibilities

• Act as the ‘business owner’ for annual vendor negotiations across UK Fresh, managing a full P&L, including; planning, forecasting and driving growth to meet and exceed revenue and profitability goals.

• Develop and execute annual Vendor comms plan to engage our partners around our strategy and growth plans

• Understand vendor pain points dealing with Fresh UK and work cross-functionally to unlock improved experience for Vendors

• Generating and implementing big ideas to drive business improvement, innovation, and scale across categories

• Driving negotiations and representing Amazon when meeting with senior leaders

• Have a thorough understanding of seasonality and global trends/events, and continually monitor competitor/industry developments

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams that support business needs, including EU colleagues, marketing, private brands, to ensure alignment to plan.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with business analysis and P&L management

  • Experience negotiating with internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

  • Experience in account management, project/program management, or buying
