We are currently looking for an Environmental Project Manager. This position is responsible for supporting project/program activities as senior environmental scientist and task lead primarily for Jacobs’ Environmental Advisory Capability in Asia Solutions and Advisory with direct responsibility as Project Manager. The incumbent is responsible for environmental advisory project management including technical delivery, financial management, team and client/external stakeholder engagement, and reporting.

This role should demonstrate understanding and application of the knowledge and skill (competencies) required of a task lead for Environmental and Social Impact Assessment; understanding of project management; and is familiar with most of the technologies and delivery methods underpinning the project solution to be delivered. This position understands how projects impact the business groups and firm’s performance. The incumbent provides motivation and direction to the task/project team, primarily under the environmental advisory practice.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Delivery and management of EIA/ESIA projects.

  • Capability to serve as task lead for EIA modules and overall EIA integration.

  • Acts as one of the company’s prime contacts with the client and is responsible for overall work progress and technical performance on the project.

  • Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve project delivery.

  • Works with the company’s leadership who provide oversight and mentoring.

  • Lead the EIA team member in delivery the EIA/ESIA study projects. Key point of contact with the client and regulators at project level. Manage project budget and project schedule. Support the EIA/ESIA proposal development.

  • Delivery and management of EIA /Asia projects and other relevant environmental work / provide technical guidance to graduate, junior level environmental scientist.

Specific duties include:

  • Leads and manages the project team through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout, consistent with established project delivery processes to the meet the scope, schedule, budget and other specified requirements stated in the contract.

  • Completes the scope of work to the satisfaction of the client, while simultaneously ensuring that Jacobs’ HS&E, quality, financial, risk management; business and policy expectations are met.

  • Plays a role in the business development activities leading to the award of the contract. This typically includes client relationship development, project-specific positioning activities, proposal preparation, orals presentation, and contract negotiation consistent with established business development processes.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Geography, Geology, Biology, Chemistry, Physics or related disciplines

  • 10 years working experience

  • Certification in Philippine EIA and CCA/DRR is not necessary but preferred

  • Must have strong technical skills and / Project Management experience for EIA and ESIA

  • Capability in water quality/chemistry, ecology, air, and social impact assessment

  • Capability in EIA, ESIA and stakeholder management

  • Familiarity with Philippine environmental regulation and international standard like IFC, world bank. Good communication and people skills.
