This is an onsite role that floats among all MN facility locations (Maple Plain, Plymouth, Rosemount, Brooklyn Park). This Sr Manager of Facilities position is responsible for all operations associated with facilities management and planning for the Americas region. They will be a key partner to the site and business leaders at all Americas locations. Primary responsibilities include leading the budgeting, capital planning, and forecasting processes, working with outside facilities vendors and contractors, and managing planned maintenance, unforeseen facility repairs, and facilities infrastructure projects. You will: Be responsible for the facility operations, capital planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the Americas region. Partner with site and business leaders to develop facilities options and recommendations to support the Americas plan for growth, building improvements, and other facilities related needs. Manage day-to-day activities necessary to construct, acquire, lease, or dispose of facilities per the strategic plan in the Americas region. Partner with procurement to negotiate contracts and manage relationships with contractors and vendors responsible for providing facilities related services and equipment in the Americas region. Be responsible for the facilities CMMS system (Pirana); ensuring all assets, preventative maintenance schedules, and work order process elements are maintained and updated, failure information on equipment is logged, and work documents from outside contractors are uploaded. Develop a short- and long-term view on facilities capital and expense needs based on expected end-of life replacements and/or frequency and cost of ongoing repairs. Be responsible for the creation and issuing of work plans and orders for each member of the maintenance staff with a two-week lead time. Ensure the resource schedule is an agreed upon plan with production. Keep accurate metrics on the performance of planning and scheduling functions for each location. Manage and lead the staff responsible for facilities services at each of the Americas locations, and identify gaps and/or future needs to effectively support the organization. Ensure facilities are safe for employees and professional in appearance and operation in support of Protolabs objectives. Interface with safety and environmental resources for specific concerns. What it takes: Bachelor's degree in a related field. 10+ years' experience in facilities management including employee supervision.
