Job Description:

Summary:

Under the supervision of a licensed Nurse or Physician, assists in performing physical examinations (Under the supervision of a licensed Nurse or Physician, assists in performing physical examinations (vital signs, height weight, vision screening, hearing testing, drug & alcohol testing, point of care testing, phlebotomy, etc.)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Under the supervision of a licensed Nurse or Physician, assists in performing physical examinations (vital signs, height weight, vision screening, hearing testing, drug & alcohol testing, point of care testing, phlebotomy, etc.)

  • Assists in the monitoring process for pre-employment candidates to ensure candidates are cleared and qualified to assume their positions.

  • Maintains and manages all required medical documents for physicals performed in the medical department.

  • Performing general office duties such as filing, data entry, scheduling medical appointments, answering telephones, use EMR (electronic medical records) for performing tests and uploading documents, sending correspondence to supervisors, etc.

  • Assists with all medical monitoring and wellness programs, (vaccinations, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, etc.)

  • Assist with audit preparations and other assignments set forth by the management team.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Completion of an accredited Medical or Nursing Assistant Training Program required.

  • Must have at least two (2) years of experience in an acute care setting, health clinic or provider office

  • Experience in Drug and Alcohol testing desired.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must be f lexible and adaptable in a continuously evolving fast pace medical environment.

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written required.

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Must possess computer literacy skills, prior experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, etc.)

  • EMR (electronic medical records) experience preferred, but not required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Medical or Nursing Assistant Certification required.

  • Phlebotomy certification highly desired.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to travel to different locations as needed.
