Air National Guard Units SUPV HR SPEC (MILITARY) in March AFB, California

Summary This SUPV HR SPEC (MILITARY) position, located at an Air National Guard (ANG) Wing, Mission Support Group, Force Support Squadron or Flight and is part of the CA 163 ATKW. This position is concurrently announced with AGR 24-173 and DSG 24-004. Only one of the announced positions will be filled. Referral and selection will be IAWCNGFPR335. Responsibilities THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION. The primary purpose of the SUPV HR SPEC (MILITARY), GS-0201-12, is to serve as the supervisor over the Force Development, Commander's Support Staff, Sustainment Services Flight, Military Personnel Flight and Airman and Family Programs within the Force Support Squadron. May serve as the full-time representative of the Commander. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance. Requirements Conditions of Employment CALIFORNIA NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the California National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Military technicians must be assigned to a military position in the same unit which they are employed or, in a unit that is supported by the employing activity. Military technicians must hold the military grade specified for the position. Priority Areas(s) of Consideration: Priority consideration is first given to the areas below. AREA I= Current California National Guard employees who are serving on a Permanent/Indefinite/Temporary appointment. AREA II= Current California National Guard members. AREA III= Current military members of the Air Force/Army National Guard, Air Force/Army Reserve or Air Force/Army Active Duty. (Applicants who are currently in other Air/Army branches and NOT currently a member of the California National Guard (CNG) must become a member of a compatible unit of assignment within the Air Force CNG commensurate with the military grade listed in this announcement prior to federal assignment). Military Grades: E-8 through E-9 Recruitment/Relocation Recruitment/Relocation Incentive IS NOT authorized. PCS Relocation Costs IS NOT authorized based on determination that Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move is not in the Government best interest. Must maintain appropriate level of security clearance. Must wear appropriate military uniform including required grooming standards. Must maintain a compatible military unit, grade and job assignment as required by current directives. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this positions. Security Clearance: at a minimum a National Agency Check is required. Qualifications General Experience: Must possess a valid understanding of the basic principles and concepts of human resources functions and programs. SUPV HR SPEC (MILITARY), GS-0201-12: Must have at least one year equivalent to at least the GS-11 level or equivalent in executing personnel programs and Human Resources Information Systems and advising supervisors and managers; Experience in personnel and manpower core competencies; Experience in applying program policies, directives, publications, and training manuals; and have at least 24 months experience with human resources programs related to federal civilian or military personnel programs.
