Quadient Junior Graphic Designer in Markham, Ontario

In this role, the Junior Designer should be highly creative and possess a sharp eye for details.

The Junior Graphic Designer is responsible for supporting the wider graphic design team to create design solutions that have high visual impact and help present our products and services to the public and our partner clients in a breakthrough way. The Junior Graphic Designer demonstrates creativity, up-to-date knowledge of industry software, and a professional approach to feedback, time, costs, and deadlines.

Responsibilities include:

  • Participating in weekly team meetings and daily standups

  • Participating in various design projects from concept to completion

  • Producing drafts, prototypes and engaging design solutions for print and digital designs

  • Creating translated versions of brochures, e-books and other content items

  • Helping to produce digital assets for email, social and content campaigns

  • Completing assigned tasks and tracking progress on the global design Asana board

  • Listening to feedback to hone skills and improve design

Requirements and skills:

  • Up to three years of experience as a Junior Designer

  • Experience with design software and graphics editing tools (Adobe Creative Cloud), Google ads / HTML5

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office

  • Understanding of visual elements (layout, type and fonts)

  • Teamwork skills

  • A keen eye for detail

  • The ability to work independently, including time management and multitasking abilities

  • Creativity skills and problem-solving aptitude

  • Video experience, Animation skills, Canva for teams, 3D prototyping are a plus

  • Degree or diploma in design or a related field
