Position Summary:

Maintains the fiber optic equipment/accessories and supply inventory of the department. Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of Endoscopy procedures.

Reports to: Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the lab. Drag Edit Delete

Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment. Drag Edit Delete

Cleans and disinfects all fiber optic endoscopes and accessory equipment. Prepares equipment for processing and sterilization as assigned. Drag Edit Delete

Cleans and prepares procedure rooms in between patients and sets up appropriate equipment for the next procedure. Drag Edit Delete

Provide support to physicians and nurses during procedures. Drag Edit Delete

Assesses equipment functioning and performance, notifies appropriate person of any defects/damage, and prepares equipment which needs to be sent out for repair. Drag Edit Delete

Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and transfers of patients as needed. Drag Edit Delete

Performs on call services as requested. Drag Edit Delete

Actively participates and ensures room turn overs are efficient and timely.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Drag Edit Delete

Required Skills Certifications: Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) Drag Edit Delete

Minimum Work Experience 1 year related experience (Preferred)
