JOB REQUIREMENTS: The City of Marshfield is seeking a Firefighter / Paramedic to join the Marshfield Fire and Rescue Team. The primary function of a Firefighter / Paramedic is to protect the community from disaster situations, including structure fires, and promote an environment of public safety within the City of Marshfield. This position involves emergency medical services (EMS), fire prevention and inspection activities, equipment and station maintenance, public education, and training. The Firefighter / Paramedic safely responds to the incident scene wearing assigned personal protective clothing, acts under the direction of the ranking officer with or without a partner, and gains access to the incident area. Under the direct supervision of a company officer, perform such duties and activities as may be required by the City of Marshfield codes and ordinances, Wisconsin State Statues, and the policies, procedures, and protocols of the Marshfield Fire and Rescue Department as defined and adopted by this department and referenced in NFPA 1001 Standard for Professional Firefighter Qualifications.
