Welder / Fitter
Job Information:
Dayshift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Located in Masury, OH
Mostly flux core and Mig welding
Serviced by large overhead cranes, rail car/train and multiple plasma burn tables feeding pre-cut pieces to the weld area
Welder Fitter Responsibilities:
Follows prints and basic diagrams to create, fabricate and weld customer orders including some grinding, painting, prep for shipping, etc. Mostly flux core and Mig welding.
Preforms quality inspection with all work
Moves raw materials, work in process, and finished goods into and between work centers
Operates a variety of hand and power tools to clean finished materials and to complete minor repairs
Operates other machinery to complete secondary operations such as drilling, punching, bending, grinding, torch cutting, shearing, flattening, etc.
Maintain pace with equipment operators to ensure material flows smoothly into and out of individual work centers and prevent back up or delays
Read, interpret, and understand the job requirements of each customer order. Communicate with foreman to ensure a complete understanding of all information
U se basic measuring tools to maintain quality standards on each order
Welder / Fitter Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but may be waived in lieu of welding experience. Post high school welding training and/or schooling is highly desired.
At least one (1) year of experience welding for another shop or manufacturer
Basic reading and mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on occasion, throughout the day
Ability to lift, bend, stoop, squat, stand or walk for extended periods of time
Must possess the ability to work well with others and work a consistent 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
