Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains. Serving three primary markets - passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment - Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities. Job Purpose The Account Representative, Specialty Markets will support the Commercial Vehicle business unit and serve as the primary contact for select specialty market customers. Job Duties and Responsibilities Primary contact for select specialty market customers for Commercial Vehicle Products. Coordinate sales strategy and objectives for assigned accounts. Executive briefings and communication with Senior Leadership. Represent voice-of-the-customer within Dana. Maintain accurate Revenue Forecast (+/- 2%). Review and monitor customer activities monthly, including customer performance metrics. Coordinate internal Dana teams (to include Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations) to achieve customers' objectives. Oversee accounts receivable activity for customers ensuring timely payment. Make product presentations to customer purchasing, engineering, and manufacturing departments/representatives. Negotiate with customers on pricing and other important matters (quality, delivery, and timing). Build relationships with customers at different levels, departments, and locations to support current and future business. Maintain current knowledge of competitor's activity and communicate significant changes. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in engineering or Business is required. Technical degree, Masters or MBA a plus. 3 years of account management experience in a sales and/or business development capacity in the vehicle market. Experience with zero emission technology is a strong plus. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Good interpersonal skills to work with people, at all levels within and outside Dana, in a professional manner. Excellent problem solving skills, including ability to identify and resolve issues and challenges. Strong business acumen including knowledge of manufacturing, finance, and marketing is a plus. Understanding the importance of seeking improvements in Cost, Quality, and Delivery performance. Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills. Strong personal computer skills required, including experience with MS Office software and Oracle. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (50% of travel).
